February, 2018: All of the horses listed here have sold. We have a couple of really nice guys ready to move out of our lesson program to forever homes. Look for updates shortly.
Uptown Girl “Luxe”
SOLD 16.1 12 year-old American Warmblood Mare (no papers). Luxe is a forward and fun mare who loves to jump and has smooth uphill gaits showing lots of promise for upper level dressage (PSG with the right rider and time). Luxe has spent time in the jumper ring and has most recently done some eventing with her current trainer for the last year. Luxe has schooled through first-second level/preliminary level dressage and 4′ fences at home, and has competed at schooling shows at Novice level with top placings. Luxe could quickly rise through the levels. Although a forward ride to the jumps she is adjustable and does all three phases of eventing in a loose-ring snaffle, but she is not suitable for someone looking for a slower mount when jumping. Luxe is very easy to work around on the ground, as she ties, clips, bathes, loads and stands for all needs pleasantly. Luxe would be a fun mount for a kid looking to take a horse up the levels in eventing, jumpers or dressage. Lots of videos available. Located in Pomfret VT. 15k.
Alice in Wonderland (Alice)
SOLD Grey Tobiano Mare (Ghost Paint) Alice is a trail rock star and a real energizer bunny out there. She just keeps going and she’s all but unflappable (and even her justifiable —WHERE did that person leap out from?!—startles are pretty mellow). She likes a soft and consistent hand and so she’s not for the beginning rider, but she’s utterly reliable in the ring and out.
Gin & Tonic (GIN)
SOLD 9 year-old 16.1 Argentine TB Gelding. Gin is your upper level show prospect. This big flashy guy has solid bone and is well trained doing 2nd level dressage movements and has been taken over fences. It is apparent that this boy has had extensive training over fences and on the flat. Gin is gentle horse that loves being around people and loves attention. This guy is LOVELY with lots of potential in any direction. Gin is not for a beginner but would do well with a confident intermediate rider with a trainer or up. He is your upper level show prospect! $5,000 or reasonable offer to a great home.
SOLD Utterly reliable, push button start, good go-er, great whoa. Easy keeper.
SOLD I Did It In a Minute (Jaws). 17H 10 year-old BFG (Big Friendly Giant). Registered Appendix QH gelding. Jaws has been to quarter horse congress in the past where he placed HUS. He is a big love, tall , dark and handsome this boy has a lovely personality and is a good safe ride. Easy W-T-C in the ring and a saint on the trails Jaws can be ridden by anyone. Willing to please he has popped over some little x-rails and has started some basic lateral work. This boy is UTD on everything and is sound. 5500k negotiable to a great home.
(SOLD) Mocha~ Mocha is a 7 year-old Registered Quarter Horse. Mocha has done a little bit of everything. He loves the trails and goes out alone or in a group. He goes over bridges, through water and has jumped logs and gone over ditches. Mocha goes w-t-c in the ring and has started lateral work. Mocha has done a little jumping and has jumped small courses. Mocha has excellent ground manners and is safe and sound. $4000.
SOLD! CONGRATS TO SEAHORSE STABLE!
WESTERN FLYER (DYLAN):Ready to head into the jumper ring, Western Flyer (Dylan) is a dynamo over fences and eye catching on the flat. Standing at 16.1h, this guy is athletic with strong ring presence and very engaged with “his person” in the barn. We have free jumped this horse 4′, which he did without batting an eye, and coursed him around 3′. He has proved a horse that loves to jump, with an intrinsic desire to stay in rhythm, put in a stride when necessary, with plenty of scope. His comfortable canter to adds to his point and shoot nature in stadium.
For the rider willing to take a little extra time, Dylan has shown the potential to make a good low level event horse. He is still green xc, willing to learn, but requires a confident ride. He has schooled banks, ditches, and water, but would benefit from more schooling before heading out to a horse trial.
What we can’t get enough of with this horse is his attitude about things. He has quickly learned to tie to the trailer, wait to compete, leave other horses, and hack alone or in company. He generally takes everything in stride, taking his cues from his person, and not reacting to high energy of the warm up ring.
Brown Maple Sugar (SOLD) Maple is enjoying her new little girl and being a leadline CHAMP!
Everything you could want in a pony, the plump and sometimes stubborn Maple is rock solid on the trail and good in the ring. She needs a push into a canter, and may not pick one up for the hesitant child, so she’s great for beginners in a lesson program or a determined child rider. It’s less about skill and more about the child’s conviction.
Ivy (Kirby’s Ivy Rose) (SOLD) Ivy has found the best home with a sassy teen who brings out the best of Ivy’s SASSY and athletic nature!
6 year old Connemara, beautiful in the ring and out.
Flash (Tough Flash Hustle) SOLD
